For webcams, we recommend a 2.0 Megapixel Logicon® or Rocketfish® with USB connectors.

For headphones, we recommend hard-wired (not wireless) Logicon®, also with a USB connector.

We've also beta tested a headset (MP3 or iPod®) with the computer's built-in microphone. This configuration has been successfully tested with optimal performance on newer Macintosh® and Windows® laptops using Firefox internet browser 3.x or later. More updates will be forthcoming shortly.

Yes, if you have a good internet connection speed.
Shut down all other applications, IMs, VOIP programs and other internet programs not in use. These tend to deplete the memory of your computer as well as drain the internet bandwidth required for connectivity.
Shut down your VPN (virtual private network).
Turn off your computer's sleep.

Virtual Job Fair's high-definition video has been pre-set for optimal performance. However, if you wish to increase the resolution to achieve even higher definition, place your cursor over your own video image and adjust the bandwidth and/or the picture settings.

Virtual Job Fair has VOIP ( Voice-Over Internet Protocol ). Headphones will sync the video image perfectly with the voice over internet and give you perfect audio-quality sound.
For your own privacy. When you enter the the Virtual Job Fair, you will be asked for permission to use your camera and microphone. Be sure to check the "Allow" and "Remember" boxes.
